What is a Clearance Inspection?
A Clearance Inspection is the thorough examination of an area after the asbestos containing materials have been removed. The inspection seeks to confirm the success or otherwise of the removal process and therefore your workplace safety.
A clearance inspection must be conducted by a competent person, independent from the removal contractor, before unprotected personnel can enter the removal area.
If the removal area is deemed clear, a Clearance Certificate will be granted.
